Was this a little game of good cop, bad cop? Nope, just a real good cop 🙂
Hayden Carlo, 25 year old father of two, was pulled over in Plano, Texas for driving with expired tags. Hayden knew that he needed to renew his tags, but he told the officer the following:
“I said there’s no explanation for why I haven’t done it, except I don’t have the money. It was either feed my kids or get my registration done.”
The kind officer was required to give Hayden a ticket, but he included $100 with it!!
Hayden was amazed. “I opened it up and there’s a 100 dollar bill. I broke down in my car. What else could I do?”
The officer didn’t tell anyone about the good deed, but Hayden’s grandfather was so moved that he wrote a letter to the police department. The police officer wishes to remain anonymous, but he is being honored by his fellow police squad.
“He helped me out when I needed it and I appreciate that,’ Hayden said. “I’ll never forget that man. It definitely restored my faith in God.”
Peace & Love,
Jon
