A+ A A-

When most pageant contestants win, typically they say “I’m going to Disney world!”.  Well not Patricia Celan, who was crowned  Miss Charity British Columbia.  Patricia’s first act as current Miss B.C. was shaving her head on stage at Langley’s Chief Sepass Theatre, which raised $8,000 for COPS for Cancer which raises funds for the Canadian Cancer Society.  The pageant itself raised $20,000 in total as contestants took part in many group fundraisers for Cops for Cancer.

Have a great day, and let the good news be yours,

"Hangover" actor, Zach Galifianakis, is more than just laughs and entertainment. Zach has grown to stardom with his Hangover movies, but he has not forgotten about his friends.

When he discovered that his old friend, Elizabeth 'Mimi' Haist, was homeless, he came to the rescue.  He met Mimi 20 years ago at a laundromat that she worked at.  He used to take his clothes there when he first moved to LA as an aspiring actor.

“Maybe he has his own washer and dryer now,” Mimi said.

Mimi is all smiles because of the comedian

Zach took her off the streets and got her a small apartment which he pays the monthly rent.  He has also taken her to several movie premiers including the recent Hangover III red carpet premier.  During a premier, Zach introduced Mimi to Renee Zellweger, whom furnished Mimi's apartment.  Zach also takes Mimi out to dinner and buys her groceries.

Zach's "wolf pack" is growing :)

And that's what's good,

When 14 year old Aldrich Lloyd Talonding's video was posted on YouTube, he had no idea that it would make him famous.  His cousin posted the video of Aldrich singing Luther Vanross' Dance with My Father along with his cousin's guitar accompaniment.

Aldrich's rendition of the song is really amazing and spread quickly through YouTube.  It's so amazing that Ellen DeGeneres played it on her show and asked Aldrich to “please come here and sing to me and all of my friends here.”

After receiving a call from the show's producer, Aldrich is applying for a visa to come to the U.S.

Check out Aldrich's performance:
