A+ A A-

Have you ever heard a song that is so catchy, it makes people of all ages smile and dance?  Good News - Will.i.am has created an uplifting song on Sesame Street that has gone viral on youtube.  It currently has over 20 million views!  I'm not sure if it is 20 million different people or 5,000 parents that keep replaying the song for their kids :).  "Nothing's going to bring me down...because I'll keep getting stronger!"

I witnessed the true power of this song the other day when my brother was playing the song for my one year old nephew.  The lil man immediately started smiling when the song started.  Every time the characters lifted their hands in the air, he followed suit!  Then I looked around the room and the adults were all doing the same!

I have since made the song my alarm clock in the morning so I can wake up with a smile! Hmm maybe he made the song for adults :).  Listen to it below and jam out!

Many of you know the Australian superstar because of her hit songs including "Locomotion" and "Can't get you out of my head".  Or maybe you know her because she is just awesome.  Kylie Minogue may as well be placed in the dictionary next to charity.  She has done so much to raise awareness for breast cancer, AIDS research through AmFAR, Children in Need, and more.

Kylie is a breast cancer survivor herself.  In 2005 she was diagnosed with breast cancer, but she has received successful treatment to rid herself of the disease that affects so many.  Her charitable donations began well before her diagnosis.  After she publicly announced her diagnosis, cancer screenings in the UK went up a third.  "I know a lot of women went for screenings after my announcement," Kylie says, "and a lot of people came up to me and said I saved them. Of course I didn't - but it made them go and get checked."

In 2010, she joined forces with Robbie Williams, Elton John, and the Scissor Sisters to have a breast cancer charity concert.  She has truly become an inspiration and has helped many through difficult times.  There are definitely good people in the world and Kylie Minogue is one of them!

Thank you Kylie!  The Good World News team is jamming out to your music :)

Alicia Keys undoubtedly has one of the most beautiful voices on the planet, but she really inspired the Raleigh, NC crowd when she told everyone that they each have an important voice by voting.  Hundreds came out to Chavis Park in downtown Raleigh, NC to see Alicia Keys and turn in their early vote.

The Grammy winner stated that Obama won North Carolina few votes in 2008 which shows that every single person can make a difference.  Alicia is a great role model for so many individuals.  Everyone really appreciated a busy celebrity taking the time to speak to a crowd and encourage them to show their voice and vote!

After Alicia's speech, downtown Raleigh was Fired Up and Ready to Go!!!

Thank you Alicia Keys for coming to Raleigh and inspiring everyone!  It is really appreciated.

Peace & Love,

Jon
